Drawing Drawing Drawing: Bunny Sketches

The last pic is actually on my iPad in Sketchbook Pro. My first attempt in this app!

I'm making it my goal to post more of my sketches and what I've been dappling with in my sketchbook. I think it might motivate me to draw more. How about you? What do you do to draw more?

Artwork: Loved Up Couple

Hello!

Sorry I've been MIA for like.... a month!? Oh my, I didn't even realise it's been that long. Anywho, I've been working on sketching and improving my digital painting skills. And look what happened?! Okay so it took me sketching, re-sketching, painting, re-painting, and several attempts at making the right brushes, but look see? - This cute little illustration of a boy and a girl in love. (OR maybe the girl is more in love with the boy than the boy is ? - what do you reckon?)

Dorothy of Oz

Here's a painting I've just finished. I've really enjoyed painting with gouache, like I did with the Mr Fredricksen painting! It's very therapeutic and it's nice to be a bit 'hands-on' and illustrate using a paintbrush again. It's also giving me lots of ideas. Might frame this one next to the Mr Fredricksen painting!

Hope you like!

The Three Bears

Finally finished the 3 bears illustration from Goldilocks and the Three Bears Series. I took ages doing Baby bear and photographing and posting these up! They should be available in my store very soon! So much has happened in my life the past month which is why I've been neglecting my Etsy store but it's always in the back of my mind. :)

I'm so happy to have finished these cute and adorable illustrations though and intend to do a lot more! Goldilocks is next, plus I would love to do another Alice in Wonderland series! (I am obsessed!)

I also want to get more stickers, professional prints and notepads up in my store of these illustrations so look out for these.

Keep your eyes peeled on my blog this coming weekend. I have a free surprise to share with all of you! :)

Hope everyone's been well! Take care of each other.

Here's something else I've been working on. This cute dark haired little girl. I'm not sure what I've got planned for her yet but she needs a name...

What do you guys reckon?

Also, keep checking back because I'll be posting my very first giveaway soon!

4th January 2010

A little while ago I told you guys that I'm designing a diary date page for the 2010 diary project which is run by the fabulous Lucy. Go here if you can't remember what I'm talking about.

Well, the design has finally been finished and here it is! The real one will actually be in black and white but I wanted to show you guys how I designed it in colour! It was so much fun designing this and I'm so excited to see the final completed diary with all the other amazing artists around the world!

The diary won't be printed until sometime in September though so I've got a while to wait!

Food Glorious Food

I've been drawing a lot lately. Only of small things that I've been doodling when I'm at home watching tv or on the train to work. I've always been interested in watercolours so decided that I'd have a go!

1. Balloons and Bunnies
2. Care for a cupcake?
3. Sushi time, all the time.
4. Vegetables....and cheese, what a lovely combination!

Don't know what I'm going to do with these yet. Maybe make some cool stationery with them! I wish I had more time in the day to concentrate on Tinys! Does anyone else with a fulltime job find it hard to juggle this?

Ta-Da!

A long time ago, I posted a few sketches I'd been working on and promised to post them up when they were completed. This is my first time using photoshop to colour these pictures and I quite like them (for my first go)! Need to practice a lot more though! Too many things to do and try! I'm going to send these off to print soon so they'll be new postcards in my shop! So excited!

BTW: For those still unsure about Twitter - it really is a great way to stay in touch and read about what others in the world are thinking and discussing! It doesn't take too much time and I find it a much easier way in making new friends! I'm already addicted, so create an account and join me now!! - tinysandtea

Sketches

I've been doing a lot of sketching and experimenting lately. Here are 3 works in progress: Alice in Wonderland inspired Items, Billy Goats Gruff and Goldilocks and the 3 stuffed Bears teaparty. I coloured the Billy Goats Gruff in pastels but am eager to try my hands at colouring them digitally. Will let you know how it goes!

If you go into the woods today...

...you're sure of a big surprise!

"Good morning Little Red Riding Hood" said the Wolf. "Where are you off to on this fine day?"
"To my grandmother's house. She is sick and weak and needs me to comfort her" replied Little Red.
The wolf grinned a toothy grin.

Tea Party in Wonderland

All gathered around the table for a tea party. Everyone had their own ideas on a conversation starter:
Alice: "It would be so nice if something made sense once in a while".
Chesher Cat: "Can you stand on your head?"
Queen of Hearts: "Off with your head".
White Rabbit: "I'm late!"
Mad Hatter: "Why is a Raven like a writing desk?"

and The Chesher Cat began: "We're all mad around here"....
