Sunday picks

What a weekend! I went to the Harry Potter Exhibition at the Powerhouse museum. If you're a Harry Potter nutter just like me, it's something that you can not miss. It brought back so many memories and just made me wish there were more films... because 8 wasn't enough. My fave part was seeing all the costumes - especially Sirius' (my favourite character) and also the Quidditch board game. They seriously need to come out with that one for real.

Afterwards we went to get the new iPhone 4S (Hello Siri!) and watched Breaking Dawn Part 1 (they really didn't need two films for this book - I mean come on, I've watched films that have had a lot more things happen in them than that).

The weather was hot, sausages and kebabs were on the barbie, everyone sat on fold-out chairs or a blanket, the girls made sangria, the boys kicked around a soccer ball. I love Summer Sunday BBQs.

Digital Painting Progress

I've been doing more digital painting lately, for my own practice and enjoyment rather than churning out artwork to sell and thought it might be interesting to show the steps involved.

Here is a pirate character I quickly sketched up and the steps from rough sketch, clean sketch, colour, shadows and highlights, to finish with texture and adjustment of colour.

Sunday Picks

My body is in a bit of pain. I did 2 huge interval workouts yesterday. It felt really good afterwards, but I'm paying for it today.
I've also wrapped all my Christmas presents early! I've wrapped the presents, but the tree isn't up yet. I'm leaving that for another weekend. But there ain't many free weekends left until Christmas! So excited!
