New New Item: Editable Recipe Cards!

I have just added a PDF editable version of my recipe card in my store!! CHECK IT OUT HERE!

Basically, this means that you can open this document in Acrobat Reader and type in yourself the text you would like on this document before printing it out! Check box the category, enter a recipe name, author name, how many people it serves, the time, directions and ingredients, then print and use!

Here is how it works for the newbies! (it's much like the FREEBIE PRINCESS INVITE I posted before).
1. Open the pdf document in Adobe Acrobat. You will see a purple bar underneath the tool bar at the top. On the right hand side, click "Highlight Fields".

2. Blue boxes will appear over the text that you are able to change. In this document, you are able to check box the category of the recipe just by clicking in the box (like a check box!). In the Name, Author, Serving, Time, Directions and Ingredients, simply type in the text boxes to add your text. Any text lines that aren't highlighted, you will not be able to change.

 3. Get typing! If you hover your mouse of the text boxes highlighted, the cursor should change to a 'I' - meaning you can click in that box to start typing. For the check boxes, if you hover your mouse over the circles, the cursor should change to a pointed hand. Simply click to check the circles!

That's it!! Print the file, cut the cards out and you could have your very own filed recipe box with all your own secret recipes typed out onto it! It's so exciting!!!

FREE Princess Invite - Editable Text

As promised, I've got another exciting free printable for everyone to download and print off. This one's really exciting as you're able to change the text on the pdf yourself!! How handy is that?

This is an adorable princess invitation which you can alter the text/party info, print and cut out yourself. It will fit any C6 envelope (114mm x 162mm). Print on thick board for better results.

You need to have the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader www.adobe.com (it's free!) to be able to change the text. Here is a run through of what to do:

1. Open the pdf document in Adobe Acrobat. You will see a purple bar underneath the tool bar at the top. On the right hand side, click "Highlight Fields".

2. Blue boxes will appear over the text that you are able to alter. In this document it is the name, birthday age, address, date, time, party information, and RSVP. Any text lines that aren't highlighted, you will not be able to change.

3. Move your mouse/cursor over the blue boxes. They will change to an 'I' symbol which means you can click in these boxes. The box will highlight as you move over them with a black line around it. So now all you need to do is click in the box, delete the text already there, and change it to what you want it to say!

Simple as that!

I will definitely be designing my printable stationery to have this feature. That way people will be able to put what they want written there instead of having to write it there themselves. Looks more professional and cute and saves me from doing custom named printables!

TUTORIAL OF THE DAY: Kiwi Cane

Ever wondered how to make a delicious kiwi slice for your scrumptious cute cupcakes? I did! And I found the perfect tutorial! Marina's dollhouse miniatures website has a great tutorial on how to make a kiwi cane. Then all you do is slice them and there you have it! I've tried it and at first it's a little tricky but it comes out great! It definately works! What I like about this tutorial is that she managed to get the colours perfect! It actually looks like a juicy delicious kiwi! TRY IT!

TUTORIAL OF THE DAY: Ice Cream and Fruit Bowl

I browse everyday on helpful polymer clay tutorials and polymer clay art to get inspiration and ideas. Today I found a perfect tutorial by Maria Smith on how to make a bowl of ice cream and fruits out of polymer clay. The most important I found in this tutorial was how to make the bowl as I have struggled many times with this and it always comes out wobbly and wonky (same with anyone else?).
